Welcome to Sam A. Baker
State Park
Sam A. Baker State Park, located in the Francois mountain range, in Patterson, Missouri, is one of the oldest in the park system and perhaps the most classic. It combines history and great natural beauty with recreation. The St. Francois River and Big Creek, a tributary of the St. Francois, form the eastern boundary of the park. There you will find excellent canoeing, rafting, kayaking and fishing. The native stone and wood cabins and The Lodge Restaurant are all just a short distance away. We also offer amenities in The Park Store and bike rentals. Amidst all this natural beauty, you will also find hiking and horseback riding trails. So what are you waiting for – come on down!
