Canoes, one-person sit-on-top kayaks and 6-person rafts are available for rent on the scenic and secluded St. Francois and Big Creek. Big Creek is best floated in the spring and fall, while the St. Francois is floatable year-round. Half-day, one, two and three day float trips can be arranged at The Park Store.

Put in at the Park Boat Ramp and float to the Hwy 34 bridge. Approximate time is 2-4 hours or you can take all day!
14 & 18 MILE FLOATS ON THE ST. FRANCIS RIVER

Put in upstream and float down to the Park Boat Ramp. Approximate time is 8-12 hours depending on the water level.
8 & 11 MILE FLOATS ON BIG CREEK
Spring & Fall or high water
Great challenging float! 8 mile: Put in at Posten Bridge and float to Park Boat Ramp.
11 mile: Put in at Des Arc and float to Park Boat Ramp.
Approximate time is 4-6 hours. For kayaks only.
Fishermen will enjoy angling in Big Creek's deep pools and in the St. Francois River for bluegill, bass, crappie, sunfish, goggle eye and catfish. Missouri fishing license is available at The Park Store.
