Cabins
 Sam A. Baker State Park has 18 beautiful rustic cabins made of native stone and wood with modern conveniences. Most were built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and the WPA in the 1930's. They lie along a wooded hillside overlooking the park and a stone's throw away from Big Creek and the 12-mile Mudlick Trail. All cabins (except cabin 13) are equipped with kitchens, full baths, heating and air-conditioning, outside BBQ grills, fire pits for bonfires and picnic tables. Cabins have bedding, towels and kitchen utensils. Cabins are available for rent April through October. Come visit us at one of Missouri's "best kept little secrets."
- Cabins 1, 2, 3, 4 and 14 are one-bedroom cabins with one queen bed in bedroom and one hideaway bed in the living room. Fireplace and air-conditioner. $85 per night minimum.
- Cabin 8 is our handicap-equipped one-bedroom cabin with one queen bed in bedroom and one hideaway bed in the living room. Central air. $85 per night minimum.
- Cabins 5, 6, 16 and 19 are one-bedroom cabins with two double beds in the bedroom and a hideaway bed in the living room. Fireplace and central air. $90 per night minimum.
- Cabins 9, 10, 11, 12, 15 and 17 are two-bedroom cabins with one queen bed in each bedroom and one futon in the living room. Central air. (Cabins 15 and 17 have fireplaces.) $100 per night minimum.
- Cabins 18 is a five-bedroom cabin. Four of the bedrooms have one queen bed and the fifth has a full size bed and a futon in the living room. Fireplace and central air. $200 per night minimum.
- Cabin 13 is a small stone sleeping cabin with one queen bed, shower, small refrigerator and fireplace. $55 per night minimum.
All Cabins (Except 13)
Cabins are equipped with kitchens, full baths, heating, air conditioning, outside BBQ grills, fire pits and picnic tables. Cabins have bedding, towels and kitchens utensils. Most cabins have fireplaces and are available for rent April through October.

We ask that you abide by these check-in and check-out times. We reserve the right to change cabins of necessary. Please call to make arrangements if you will be arriving after closing (summer: Monday – Saturday 8:00 PM; Sunday 6:00 PM). Spring and Fall hours vary.
Do not remove any of the furnishings from the cabin. When you leave, please do the following:
- Empty garbage and place in dumpster
- Wash and return all cookware and utensils to cabinets
- Turn off air conditioning / heat
- Turn off all lights, fans and appliances
- Replace outside chairs to front of cabin
- Return key to cabin office
Charges will apply for failure to complete the check out procedure. Additional charges will be charged for unusually dirty cabins; damage done to cabin furniture and contents; or for pet evidence.
Pets are not allowed in the cabins but dog houses can be placed outside the cabin for $5.00 per stay.
The Lodge Restaurant hours vary during the season. Please call ahead to find out if Lodge will be open during your stay.
Reservations Policy
Cabin reservations for the following year can be made starting November 1st, at 9 am. Reservations will be taken in person (by lottery) and by telephone simultaneously. Reservations will be taken November 1st – November 5th, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm. We will resume taking reservations when we open for the season on April 1st.
A one night deposit is required at the time of the reservation is made for each cabin reserved. Reservations can be secured with personal check, MasterCard, Visa or Discover. Deposits will be processed January 1st and confirmation card(s) will be sent to you.
There is a two night minimum stay for all reservations, three nights for holiday weekends. Except for cabins 13 and 18, all rates are based on the first four people. Add $10 per night for each additional person. Failure to claim all occupants will result in forfeiture of future reservations.
Cancellation Policy
There is a minimum $25.00 per cabin cancellation fee for any cancellations. Deposit is refundable, less $25.00, if you cancel at least fourteen (14) days prior to reservation date. If the cancellation is made on the day of the reservation, you will be charged for two days. Deposits will be forfeited for early departure or for less than a fourteen (14) day cancellation notice.
There will be no cancellation fee for any cabin cancellation received by April 15 as long as a 14 day notice is given. Cabin office will be open April 1st Monday through Thursday 10:00 am – 4:00 pm; Friday and Saturday 8:00 am – 8:00 pm.
Starting after April 15th there will be a per unit cancellation fee.
